PERSUASIVE SPEAKING
- An original speech designed to inspire, reinforce or change beliefs, attitudes, values or actions of the audience.
- Maximum speaking time is 10 minutes.
- Visuals and notes may be used.
AFTER DINNER SPEAKING
- A speech to entertain with the purpose to make a serious point through the use of humor.
- Maximum speaking time is 10 minutes.
- Notes may be used.
COMMUNICATION ANALYSIS
- An original speech designed to offer an explanation and/or evaluation of a communication event (i.e. speech, speaker, movement, poem, poster, film, campaign, etc.) through the use of rhetorical principles.
- Maximum speaking time is 10 minutes.
- Visuals and manuscripts may be used.
