About
Psi Chi
Psi Chi is an honor society in Psychology. The goals of Psi Chi are
to help students explore their interests, understand the opportunities
available to them, and create professional relationships. Psi Chi meets
every other week to hear various speakers on topics of interest to psychology
students, plans and participates in several community service events,
co-hosts "Meet the Faculty" night each fall with SPA (Student Psychology
Association), and participates in fundraisers throughout the year to
pay for member induction ceremonies, for service projects, fellowship
activities, and for honor cords or sashes for graduation.
Requirements to join NIU’s chapter of Psi Chi
• At least 8 credit hours of Psychology at
NIU
• GPA of 3.0 overall at NIU
• GPA of 3.25 in Psychology courses at NIU
