VEG’s
6th Annual “Trails for TAILS” bike-a-thon
When?
Coming at you on Saturday, April 22, starting at 9am (Sunday will be our rain-out
day, or the following Saturday if it rains then too.)
Where?
East Lagoon, across from the Art building on
TAILS
(Taking Animals Into Loving Shelter) is the local chapter of the humane
society which runs DeKalb County's state-of-the-art animal
shelter. Over the past years VEG has raised over
$20,000 for TAILS. Click here for more
information about TAILS and the animals they have up for adoption.
In the bike-a-thon we have 10, 20, and 55 mile rides. The ride is non-competitive. We will offer some refreshments at some of the turn-around points on the ride. We advise each rider brings their own water and necessities for the ride. We will offer a free vegan BBQ at 2:00 pm. To be back on time for the BBQ, here are some guidelines for departure times: 55 mile riders need to be on the road between 9 and 10 am and 20 mile riders need to be on the road by noon.
